The Pigeonnier at La Taupe has been lovingly restored into a “jewel box”, with contemporary fabrics and furnishings and views of the surrounding countryside. It accommodates up to two couples in this quiet rural setting. The Pigeonnier has a living room with wood burning fireplace, a separate dining room seating up to six people. The separate kitchen/breakfast room is fully equipped with all modern conveniences included. It has two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. There is a large open lawn and a private outdoor dining patio. The shared 18 meter (59 feet) mosaic pool area is in a walled garden with a barbeque and stone eating area. There is a boule (bocci) court on premises.

La Taupe is a short distance from historical sites and quaint villages.

When people see the Pigeonnier, no one can believe that it was once an ancient dovecote. In Quercy pigeons and doves with their droppings were so prized that they were divided among ones heirs in the same proportions as the family property. Most farms had a pigeonnier. These are the signature buildings in Quercy, many still dot the countryside
